Individual Interviews

We had our individual interviews with Allie yesterday and today.  They consisted of Allie asking us a series of questions many of which we had already answered when we completed our self study forms.  Allie was impressed with how thoroughly we completed our self study forms and was even more impressed with how organized our paperwork was when we returned everything.  She may even begin to use the checklist that Sara made to ensure that we returned all of the paperwork with signatures.  Imagine that Sara had a checklist of what needed to be returned :)

Now that our individual interviews have been completed we can move onto the home visit.  This will be taking place next Wednesday, April 20th.  During this visit Allie will be looking at the layout of our house and at the end of the meeting we will need to fill out/complete a few more forms.  After this visit Allie will then begin to write our home study report, this is approximately 16 pages long.  After she has written the report it will then be reviewed by her supervisor and finally reviewed by us.  This will allow us to review the report prior to it being submitted as well as allow us to make any edits or changes.  We’re hopeful that this entire process will take approximately two weeks therefore our home study should be complete by mid-May!  We’re excited that we can finally see the light at the end of the home study tunnel.  Stay tuned for another blog update after our home visit.
