Weight: 12lbs 6ozs (30%)
Length: 24 ¾ inches (70%)
Diaper Size: 1’s but it won’t
be too long before we move to 2’s
Clothes Size: She’s wearing 3 month
pants and 3-6 month onesies. Sleepers
however are a different story, we’ve had to bump her up to 6 month sleepers
because she’s so long. I thought about
just cutting the feet off the 3 month ones but then thought better.
Eye Color: BLUE!
Hair Color: Her hair takes on
different colors depending on the lighting.
Sometimes it looks brown, sometimes strawberry blonde and other times it
has a red tint to it. It will be interesting
to see what color it is when she’s one.
Sleep: We had a few
nights where she slept really well, through the night until about
6:30-7am. However, lately she’s been
getting up once per night between 2-4am to eat.
I know we could have it way worse and there are others who are getting
up with their 4 month only 3 or more times a night so we can’t really
complain. She’s also started to wiggle
her arms out of her sleep sack at night which would be fine if she continued to
sleep but she doesn’t. Her arms wake her
up so we are usually getting up once or twice a night to tuck her arms back
in. We really need to figure out how to
help her fall back asleep when she does this otherwise we are going to have
some long nights and tired parents.
Food: Between 3 and 4
months we gradually bumped her feedings up to 5ozs and then 6ozs to make sure
she was eating enough especially since she was only eating 4 times a day. However, lately she’s been eating 6ozs every
4-5 hours throughout the day and once at night so over the last 5-6 days she’s
been averaging 30ozs in a 24 hour period.
This puts her slightly below the amount she should be eating according
to her weight but her doctor wasn’t concerned because she’s been gaining
weight.
Activity: Madelyn reached a
couple huge milestones in her fourth month.
Not only did she get her first tooth, in the middle on the bottom, but
she’s also rolled from her tummy to her back!
Her tooth coming in didn’t seem to bother her too much which is
great. The same week we noticed her
tooth was when she rolled from her tummy to her back. She did it one night multiple times but it’s
been pretty sporadic since then. She
also loves to sit in her bumbo, has started to grab at her toys which she immediately
puts in her mouth and talks. She wakes
up in the morning talking, wakes up in the middle of the night talking, talks
after she eats. What can we say she
likes to hear her own voice :) She’s
also very attentive, she watches what everyone is doing and seems to sit back
and take everything in.
Each day we are amazed by what our little girl has accomplished
in just four short months. Ryan was just
saying the other day he can’t imagine what it will be like to see her walking
around and I can’t help but think she will be doing that sooner than we
think. She catches on to things very quickly
and if the next few months fly by as quickly as the last four have she will be
walking next week!
