Madelyn's first Christmas was fun, exciting, overwhelming, exhausting, busy, nonstop and full of memories - we had a fantastic time.
We headed to Ryan's parents house mid-day Monday. We spent the night at their house and celebrated Christmas with his parents, sister her new fiancé and her boys, Breckyn and Jaxson, on Christmas Eve. Ryan decorated a gingerbread Christmas tree with the boys while Madelyn napped. Then we had a bunch of food, which was all delicious, and opened gifts. It was so fun watching the kids open their gifts. Even if I only saw the boys open their first gifts :) Here are a few photos from the day.

Christmas morning we woke up gave Madelyn her morning bottle and then we opened the gifts that Santa brought. Then Ryan got to get the snow blower out again to clear the end of the driveway after the plows came through, because as some of you may recall we got a few inches of snow Christmas Eve. Which made for a really fun drive home, just kidding, the drive home was horrible! Anyway, back to Christmas. Here are a few photos from Christmas morning.
After we got ready we drove back down to my parents house to spend Christmas with my parents, sister and grandma. We stuck with tradition and had homemade chicken noodle soup, with homemade noodles, oyster stew (Ryan and my dad are the only two that eat this, yuck!) and the usual appetizers. It was nice to spend some time with my Grandma. After Madelyn's afternoon nap we opened gifts and ate some more. Unfortunately we only took a couple pictures, well actually one picture it just takes a couple dozen before we can get a good one with an 11 month old :) Epic fail on my part, note to self need to take more photos at holidays with aunts, grandparents, cousins, etc.
We hope you had a fantastic holiday season with your loved ones. Ours was pretty darn memorable! =]
