Weight: we’re not sure how much she weighs these days but we’re
guessing 20lbs
Length: again we’re not sure and getting her to lay still long enough
to measure her is not going to happen!
Diaper Size: we have officially moved up to size 3’s
Diaper Size: we have officially moved up to size 3’s
Clothes Size: PJs she’s definitely in 9 month
because of her length and I’m sure it won’t be long before she jumps to 12
month. The majority of her clothes are 9
months, she’s still able to fit in some 6 month tops but the pants are getting
a little short and rather than her looking like she’s waiting for a flood we
put her in 9 month.
Eye Color: glorious BLUE!

Hair Color: Her hair is definitely getting darker and it seems to be
taking on a little bit of a curl too.
Sleep: She’s had a lingering cough for the last couple of weeks and
will usually wake up at least once at night from coughing. We’re taking her in tomorrow to make sure it
is not anything to worry about.
Otherwise, she’s been taking full advantage of the room she has in her
crib, she’s all over the place. On her
side, on her stomach with her little booty up in the air, flat on her back with
her arms up in the air. Last night I
caught her in there, awake, on her hands and knees rocking back and forth
it won’t be long before she puts those actions into motion and starts crawling!
Food: There are not too many things Lovie doesn’t like although she doesn’t seem too fond of banana oatmeal. She’s consistently eating three meals a day – oatmeal for breakfast, fruit or veggies for lunch and for dinner we usually give her a meat mixed with veggies, rice or noodles, some fruit or veggies and her latest obsession is puffs. She watches us walk to the cupboard where we keep them and as soon as she sees the container she is all smiles, starts kicking her legs all over and clapping her hands. We’ve also started giving her other finger foods like yogurt melts, crunchies, mangos and cheese. It’s fun to watch her try foods with different textures.
Activity: Jumping, kicking her feet up and down, putting her feet in her mouth while she’s sitting up or laying down, scooting backwards when she’s on her tummy, clapping, banging toys together, playing in a “car” aka a pampers diapers box, exploring new things and areas in the house and reading books. She gets a big smile on her face and squeals with delight. Standing is another favorite pass time, whether she’s standing by a piece of furniture, standing up holding onto your hands or standing for the few seconds she can by herself there’s always a big smile on her face. The girl also LOVES to take a bath. She watches, sometimes patiently, while the tub fills and the minute we set her in the tub she starts kicking her legs back and forth and splashes water all over the place. Half the time we are just as wet as she is by the time we’re done!

Health: We had an appointment with a doctor at Gillette Children’s
to get a second opinion on whether or not Madelyn really needed to wear a
helmet because we were not comfortable with her wearing it if it’s going to
cause the rash. Long story short the
doctor said if she were his daughter he wouldn’t put her in a helmet. Her head will naturally round out, especially
since she’s up and moving around all the time and rarely sleeps on her back
these days. As soon as we stopped
wearing the helmet the rash cleared up and her hair started to grow back.
We’re hopeful the cough she’s had for the last couple of weeks
is nothing and that it’s simply a byproduct of the cold she has and that it too
will pass soon.
Miss Madelyn continues to amaze us every day. She’s learning so much, is always happy and
rarely cries. They have even given her
the nickname “happy feet” at school because she’s always happy and her feet are
constantly moving.
Today I'm linking up with Kristin for Baby Talk!

What an adorable baby! I loved reading your update because our daughters are the same age. My daughter is super long too. It's tough finding the right size pants. It seems like our girls have a lot in common in the "activity" section-- Caprilee loves the bath and standing up and reading books!
ReplyDeleteFound you on the link up! Excited to explore your blog more. Jill @ youmeandcapri.com
