2 Month Stats...a little late :)

On March 24 little Miss Madelyn turned 2 months old! She continues to be an absolutely fantastic baby here's how she did during her second month...

Weight: 10lbs 9oz (up from 8lbs 12.5oz at her 1 month checkup)

Length: 22.5in (up from 21in at her 1 month checkup)

Diaper Size: We finally transitioned to size 1 diapers!

Clothes Size: She was able to wear a few newborn outfits yet but she also wore a few 0-3 month items.

Eye Color: Beautiful BLUE!

Hair Color: Depending on the light it’s anywhere from red to strawberry blonde to light brown.  She started to lose a little hair but it is not too noticeable since she had quite a bit when she was born.

Sleep: She still loves to sleep, on average she’s sleeping 17-18 hours a day and we still need to wake her up to eat, but instead of every three hours it’s every four.

Food: Once we transitioned to strictly feeding her formula she quickly started to gain weight and we didn’t have any issues with her drinking from a bottle.  Every three to four hours she eats 2-3ozs and just recently we started to bump it up to four ounces every once in awhile.  And, she hates to burp I’m not sure if it’s the burping she doesn’t like or the fact that the bottle isn’t in her mouth anymore!

Activity: We continue to work on her tummy time and she continues to dislike it :) She enjoys smiling at mommy and daddy and the ceiling fans!  Spends some time on her activity mat where she likes to watch the lights and listen to the music, she also likes to look at herself in the mirror.

Our little lady is very laid back, doesn’t fuss too much, enjoys sleeping, likes to eat, has started to smile at us, and it’s not because she has gas and is growing every day.  It’s amazing how fast the days and weeks go by.  It seems like just yesterday that we were coming home from the hospital.  We absolutely love and adore our little miracle and we look forward to teaching her more everyday!

Here's a look back at how much she's grown throughout the month...
