3 month...yep once again a little late :)

On April 24 little Miss Madelyn turned 3 months old!  Here’s how she has grown over the last month…

Weight: we are estimating she weights somewhere around 11lbs 4ozs

Length:
roughly 23 inches
Diaper Size: She’s still in size 1 diapers
Clothes Size: The majority of her clothes are 3 month now but she’s still able to fit into her 0-3 month long sleeve onesies for bed.
Eye Color: BLUE!
Hair Color: Her hair seems to be taking on more of a red tint as each day/week passes.  It’s also the first thing people comment on, where did she get that red hair! :)  Luckily, if we don’t want to get into her whole story I can simply say her grandpa had red hair and she has a cousin with red hair too.
Sleep: I know other parents hate it when they hear how well she sleeps but what can I say, the girl LOVES to sleep.  She’s still sleeping between 15-16 hours on average.
Food: It’s an all formula diet for little M.  She’s eating 4ozs every 3-4 hours and she will usually get up once during the night to eat.  Don’t worry I know how lucky we are that she’s not getting up every 2-3 hours to eat throughout the night.
Activity: At Madelyn’s two month checkup the doctor asked if we had any concerns and the only one we had was with regards to the flat spot on her head.  Like we said earlier she’s a great sleeper which means she’s on her back quite a bit and she has always favored looking to her right.  Therefore, the flat spot is on her right side.  Her pediatrician wasn’t too concerned but said she would send a referral to a physical therapist for us if we wanted to get a second opinion, which we did.  We’re glad we did too because she has torticollis which is a tightening of the muscle that connects the breastbone to the collarbone.  She also thought her flat spot was in the severe category.  She gave us a few exercises to do in addition to tummy time multiple times each day to loosen and strengthen the muscle.  We go back every two weeks to make sure she’s improving and we are happy to say she’s improved so much already!
We are still amazed at how much she has already grown and all the new things she has learned to do in her short time with us.  Each day she seems to learn something new, especially now that she’s at daycare.
