Weekend Recap

 

Saturday afternoon we headed south to have dinner with my Grandma, Madelyn's Great Grandma.  The facility where she lives had a BBQ they invited family and friends to so we decided to pack up and head down for the afternoon.  We gave my Grandma a photo album that included some of Madelyn's 6 month photos and a special picture from her 6 month photo shoot in a frame for her room.  Even though she liked the photos she enjoyed seeing Madelyn play and interact with us even more so.  She's still amazed by her and calls her our little miracle.  Here's a photo of my mom, grandma, Madelyn and I - four generations :)

Sunday my parents came up to hang out with Madelyn because let's face it as soon as she was born they didn't come up to see us they come up to see her.  Just like that we were second to her, but that's okay with us.  We had pizza, watched the Vikings/Bears game, and Madelyn took a nap with Grandpa.  I love watching her interact with my parents, especially when my dad gets her laughing, it's pretty darn cute.  Here's a photo of my dad and Madelyn while she took a nap. 

 

 

After my parents left and Madelyn woke up from her afternoon nap we decided we should go out and do a little work in the yard.  We have a pretty big backyard transformation taking place and we decided Madelyn should do a little work for them while they were gone for the weekend.  Fortunately for them, she couldn't quite reach the controls =)
