Weight: She hasn’t been weighted since her last checkup a month ago but we’re guessing she’s somewhere around 21 lbs.

Length: At her last appointment she was 28.50 inches (2 feet 4.5 inches) so we can only assume she’s at least 28.75 now :)  although we’re guessing she’s grown more than a quarter of an inch!

Diaper Size: Still sporting the 3’s!

Clothes Size: All of her clothes are either 9 month or 9-12 months.  We had to retire the 6-9 month long sleeve onesies because they were more like three quarter sleeves.  For jammies she can get away with 9 or 12 month although we’re guessing she won’t fit into the 9’s much longer because of her length. 

Eye Color: BLUE!

Hair Color: It’s definitely getting a little darker as she gets older and man it seems to be growing so fast!

Sleep: We almost don’t want to even bring up sleep because she’s been doing so well we don’t want to jinx it!  She goes to bed about 7 and wakes up between 5:45 – 6:30.  Although this past weekend she fell asleep at 6:30 Saturday night and slept until 7:10 Sunday morning – it was absolutely glorious!  And, she’s been doing great at settling herself back down and falling back asleep in the middle of the night, we haven’t had to get up with her in quite some time.  It has been fantastic!

 

Food: We’ve been getting M more table foods some of her favorites include – cheerios, ham, shredded cheddar cheese, green beans, carrots, peas and no sugar added applesauce.  It seems as if she’s over “baby” food and wants what we are having because she seems to do more “spitting” when we give her any of her baby food.      

Activity: This month Madelyn has gotten very good at scooting around on her bum.  She’s not really interested in crawling, maybe it’s because she hasn’t figured out how to go forwards just backwards.  Plus, she’s pretty quick on her little tush so she really has no reason to want to crawl; she probably sees it as a step down from where she is now :)  Because of this new found freedom she’s been exploring the house much more.  She enjoys opening and closing cupboard doors and drawers, pushing her highchair around the kitchen and “chasing” mommy and daddy around.  Ultimately though, she prefers to pull herself up, with the help of your index fingers, to stand and walk around.  She’s gotten good at pulling herself up with a little assistance from you but she only pulls herself up to her knees when she’s trying to stand up by other things.    

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again, we are so very blessed.  It’s hard to believe our little lady is 10 months old and that in two short months we won’t have a baby but a toddler.  We’re so excited for her 1^st birthday party; yes, Sara has already started planning it!  But we’re sure that won’t surprise anyone considering how long we waited for our little miracle.  With every week that passes she learns something new which we get so excited about.  We’re so lucky to call her ours and we can’t wait to see what she’s going to do next!
