Sorry for the delay in posts! December was pretty hectic for us, especially since Ryan was in Ireland with work for a week. Madelyn just happened to get sick with a horrible stomach bug the same week and it was my busiest week at work. Thankfully, our parents were able to come up and stay with Madelyn for the week since she couldn't go to school. We have pretty much been going no stop since then and things didn't calm down until last week.
Madelyn had a fantastic first Christmas. I'll do a separate post on that along with her 11 month update, hopefully this week. New Years was pretty much just another day :) Madelyn was in bed before 7, Ryan was sleeping on the couch before 9 and Sara was in bed by 9:30! Although, we wouldn't have had it any other way, especially since Madelyn wakes up between 5:45-6:15. We were happy, safe and warm at home!
This weekend we had Madelyn's 1 year photos taken. Yes, you read that correctly, Madelyn will be one this month and we still can't believe it. Amy from Chubby Cheeks Photography once again did a fantastic job. We got two photos as a sneak peek and we will be impatiently waiting for the rest :) Here are the two photos.
The second one is Madelyn with her friend Fiona who was born a couple weeks before her. We met Fiona's parents in our birth class and as it turns out they live in the same development we do! They are great people and we're looking forward to watching the girls grow up and become great friends.
We hope you had a fantastic Christmas with your loved ones. That you were able to spend some time doing what you love to do which hopefully also meant some time away from work. 2013 was a fantastic year for us and we are so excited to see what 2014 has to offer!
